Solar activity was very low and the visible disk remained spotless. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.
The solar kp index is quiet, with no changes to retrograde effects. The solar wind speed is currently above average, making retrograde effects moderately increased.
There are no planets in retrograde!
The Solar System at a Glance
Solar wind parameters were indicative of a slow, but mildly enhanced regime. Total IMF strength began the period at less than 5 nT, but increased to 6-7 nT about 16/0900 UTC, before it weakened below 5 nT by 16/1500 UTC. The Bz component underwent mainly weak deviations. Solar wind speed was weak, but varied between 315-370 km/s. The phi angle varied between sectors.
There is a 25% chance of solar activity, with a 5% chance of a minor event, a 1% chance of a moderate event, and a 1% chance of a strong event.
